Christian Education involves the administration and coordination of programs and strategies to facilitate the spiritual growth/discipleship of Believers into Christ-likeness.
FHWC has developed a sound philosophy for Christian education based on the Word of God. A sound philosophical statement is not enough however, to experience the transformation of lives. What is on paper must be put into practice for it to make a difference.
The Christian Education ministry of the church is not a one person job. It takes many people working at different levels and in different capacities. When working as a team, key leaders of the various areas have a much greater effectiveness than if they focus only on themselves and their own areas of responsibility.
Harvest Bible School
HBS’s mission is to make Christian Education available to pastors, elders, ministers and lay persons who desire to study to show themselves approved unto God, as well as to make themselves into valuable assets for their local church and the ministry as a whole.
What We Do
The Harvest Bible School (HBS) equips the Saints for the work of ministry by partnering with the Chesapeake Bible College & Seminary to provide Christian Education through correspondence, Campus classroom studies, Christian Counseling, and religious education that leads to a degree.
HBS is committed to the growth of the local church. We believe that by having your ministers, church leaders and lay members attend our School of Advanced Studies, your church will reap the benefits of:
- Mature Disciples of Christ
- Leaders with vision
- Leaders that would be able to clearly write the vision
- A membership that could present the Word of God so plain, that even a fool could not err.
- HSOABS is committed to making these things happen for the growth of the local church.
